Step 1: Disconnect your modem and remove the battery from it. 

Step 2: Now, reconnect your modem to the power source. 

Step 3: After that, use an ethernet wire to connect your modem to the yellow-colored port of your router. 

Step 4: Connect your router device to an electrical outlet. In case the power LED light that is placed at the back of your router is not turned on, then press the power button. 

Step 5: Wait until the ring LED light of Orbi router turns solid white and then becomes pulse white. 

Step 6: Keep the Orbi satellite at the center of your house in order to receive excellent signal strength. 

Step 7: Now, in the next step you are required to connect the Orbi satellite to a wall outlet. In case the LED light at the back of your router does not get turned on and then press the button of On or Off. 

Step 8: Wait for your satellite’s light to turn solid white. After that, you will see your light turning into pulse white or pulse magenta. The LED light of the satellite may blink magenta for 60 seconds and then it will make attempts to sync with the router. 

Step 9: After the light turns magenta, below mentioned are some of the colors that it may change into.

1. Solid blue: This light indicates that the connection between the Orbi Satellite and the router is strong.
2. Solid magenta: This light indicates that you are not able to connect the satellite to the router, then in such a case you need to bring the two close to one another.
3. Solid Amber: The light states that there is a fair connection between an Orbi satellite and Orbi router. In order to improve the connection, you need to bring your satellite close to the router.

Note: The ring LED light of the satellite will turn magenta after one minute. Now that you have already brought both the devices close to one another, then press the button of sync on the satellite as well as on the router. If the syncing process gets successfully completed, then the LED light will first turn white and then the color will change to solid blue. The blue light indicates a strong connection and then it gets turned off. 

Step 10: Connect your smartphone or computer system to the Orbi router device or satellite with a wireless connection or Ethernet.

Note: To connect using your wireless network, search for SSID name or wireless network name and password on the satellite or router device and connect to the network using your mobile device or Wi-Fi enabled computer system.

Step 11: Go to the main website of Orbi which is http://orbilogin.com for setting up your Orbi wireless network. The ring LED light of your Orbi router will turn off once the setup gets completed.
