My NETGEAR Router is Not Connecting to the Internet. Please Help?

If you are facing connectivity issues in Netgear router then try these troubleshooting steps:-

  1. Check the power levels of the cable line that connects to your Netgear router. If you’re experiencing intermittent connections or slow speeds, your cable line might not have sufficient power levels.
  2.  Remove any splitters that might be located between your cable line and your Netgear router. Splitters reduce the signal quality of the cable line.
  3.  Check your Netgear router’s firmware version. If you don’t have the latest firmware version, then download it.
  4. Power cycle your network. Most connectivity issues between cable modems and modem routers are resolved by performing a power cycle. If the router has been connected to the internet and worked in the past, confirm the signal from your internet service provider (ISP) is not the problem. Turn off the wireless function and directly connect your computer to the Netgear router with an Ethernet cable. Reboot the computer and check for an internet connection.
If there is still no internet connection reboot Netgear router.
  5.  If you have tried everything but nothing is working in your case then perform a factory reset. On the back of your Netgear router, locate the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button. Using a paper clip or similar object, press and hold the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button for about seven seconds. Release the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button and wait for your router to reboot. After your router is finished with the factory reset, the Power light stops blinking and lights solid green. The factory default settings are restored.

Hope this will prove beneficial for you!
