Why My TP Link Router Not Working after Firmware Update

For most of the routers available in the market, the main problem arises when the firmware is not up to date. Outdated firmware can be the root cause of so many errors faced by users, but sometimes, even after updating the latest version of the firmware, your TP-link router does not work properly.

The possible reasons behind the problem could be incorrect firmware versions and issues with web interface access.

Fix TP Link Router Not Working after Firmware Update:

If you encounter a firmware update failure with your TP-Link router then use Management Mode to recover the TP-Link router. In the Management Mode, the router will resume the loading of the firmware upgrade. Also, you can recover the router’s settings.

If TP-Link router is not connecting to internet then update router’s firmware or restore the router's settings to the factory defaults. Well, you can easily download TP-Link router latest firmware by directly connecting your computer to the modem to gain Internet access.

To Get to Management Mode, Perform the Steps Below:

• Detect the Reset button, usually it is found on the backside. Press and hold down the Reset button for 20 seconds.
• While still holding down the Reset button, unplug TP-link router from the power cord and leave it unplugged for at least five seconds. After 5 seconds, plug it back in the power supply.
• After 5 seconds, you can release the Reset button. Now access the TP-Link router’s web-based setup page.
• Once the web-based setup page opens, you can see Management Mode Firmware Upgrade page (as shown below).
• Next, press a mouse click on the Browse button and choose the accurate firmware file from your local folder. After this, click the Apply button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update process. If you accidentally encountered any technical issue in Management Mode, you can exit by simply unplugging the power cord from the router and plugging it back in.
