How do I Reboot My Phone Modem or MTA

Reboot Phone Modem or MTA:

Phone modem or MTA (Multimedia Terminal Adapter) is same as cable modem, but MTA can deliver Spectrum Voice service in addition to Internet Services.

1- To Reboot Both a Router and an MTA

Unplug the power cord from the router and Unplug the Unplug power cord from MTA. If MTA has a battery installed, remove the battery and wait at least 15 seconds and reinstall the battery.

Plug power cord back in MTA and wait until MTA is not install, it will take 5 minutes to install. Plug the power cord to your router, and wait about 30 seconds to ensure that you have Internet connection.

Try to open browser the internet or make a phone call.

2- To Reboot a Phone Modem (MTA) not Connected to a Router

Unplug power cord from MTA. If MTA has a battery installed, remove the battery and wait at least 15 seconds and reinstall the battery. Plug power cord back in MTA and wait until MTA is not install, it will take 5 minutes to install.

Try to open browser the internet or make a phone call.

If you have modem-router combination, press the Reset butten on the back of your modem and does the same thing as the preceding instruction. Do not press Reset butten unless instructed to do so by a customer service representative.
