Are you looking forward to knowing how to change the Wi-Fi password of your Belkin router? It is important for you to have a wireless password in order to connect your devices to the wireless network. The password puts a limitation on the number of users who can connect to the wireless network.
Your computer needs to be hard-wired while performing these steps.
Step 1: First of all, launch your internet browser.
Step 2: Now, enter the IP address in the location bar of your browser and then click on the search icon. In case this doesn't work, then change the IP address of your router. In case you have a Belkin router manager, then choose router settings on it.
Step 3: Enter the admin password of your router to log in. In case you haven't set a customized password, then leave the password section empty and then select Submit.
Step 4: On your navigation panel, go left and select Security.
Step 5: Carry out the instructions below to change the password.
WPA/WPA2: The present pre-shared key will show up. This is your wireless network password. For changing the password, you need to enter the preferred password in the field.
WEP: Go to the drop-down menu and then select 64 bit WEP. Choose key and then type digits. Make sure that the characters are hexadecimal. If you select 128 bit, then you must type in 26 hexadecimal digits.
Alternatively, you can enter the password by going to the passphrase section and then select Generate. A WEP key will get generated for you.
Step 6: In the end, apply changes.
