FollIf you are looking forward to knowing how to configure an EasyLink VPN tunnel for site-to-site VPN, then you have come to the right place. Here, you will read all the steps that you need to perform for EasyLink VPN Tunnel for Site-to-Site VPN. In this example, we are going to connect two routers using an ethernet cable and configure the IP address on both routers.
Step 1: First of all, open the web-based setup page of router 1 and router 2.
Step 2: Go to the configuration tab and then select Setup and then click on Network.
Step 3: Now, go to the section of WAN SETTING and then click the button of WAN 1 edit.
Step 4: Choose static IP for WAN connection type.
Step 5: For router 1, type 10.0.0.1 in the Specify WAN IP area and then type 10.0.02 in the default gateway address section. After that, click on Save.
Step 6: Now for router 2, type 10.0.0.2 in the field of Specify WAN IP address and enter 10.0.0.1 in the Default gateway address section. Then, click on Save.
You need to ensure that the LAN IP subnets of both the routers are different. Here, we are going to change the IP of router 2 and the LAN IP of router 1 will remain the same.
Step 1: Go to the Configuration tab and then select DHCP. After that, click on DHCP setup.
Step 2: Go to the Device IP field and enter 192.168.2.1 there.
Step 3: Select Save.
Now, both the routers have different IP subnets. Now, you can easily configure a site-to-site VPN tunnel using EasyLink VPN. In this case, we are going to take router 2 as one of the EasyLink VPN clients and router 1 as the EasyLink VPN server.
Step 1: Go to router 1's configuration tab and then select EasyLink VPN. After that, click on Summary.
Step 2: After that, go to the section of EasyLink VPN Server Status and select the Edit button.
Step 3: Select Enable and then click on Ok.
Step 4: Click on the subtab of Inbound EasyLink VPN to create a new account.
Step 5: After that, enter your Account name and password.
Step 6: Click on Save.
The primary server IP address and the account credentials need to be in the Outbound EasyLink VPN tab.
Step 1: Go to the configuration tab of router 2 and select Eas Link VPN. After that, click on Outbound EasyLink VPN.
Step 2: Select Enable.
Step 3: Enter the values for the primary server, account name, and password.
Step 4: Check the Keep Alive option and then click on Save.
