Universal Plug and Play enables your router to get configured automatically on different operating systems. It is mainly used for online videoconference and gaming apps. Here in this article, you will learn how to enable Universal Plug n Play feature on your Linksys router.

How to Enable and Disable the UPnP?

Step 1: The first thing that you need to do is to access the web-based setup page of your router.

Step 2: Go to the internet-based setup page and select Administration.

Step 3: After that, choose the desired UPnP setting.

Note: UPnP is enabled by default on your router.  In case you are facing connection issues even when the UPnP is enabled, then you are required to check other network settings like wireless security. You can also check out the gaming and application section.

To resolve the problem, you may have to connect your device to the modem directly in order to see whether it is working or not. If you find that it is functioning or working, then get in touch with the manufacturer of your device to check if any ports need to be forwarded to the router.
