Step 2: Connect one end of the ethernet wire to your Wi-Fi point's internet port and the other end to the gateway unit or modem.
Step 3: Connect your power wire to the USB Type-C port.
Step 4: Now, take the other end and connect it to the electrical outlet.

Step 10: Then, you will get a chance to add more Wi-Fi points to your Google Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi package of Google offers a maximum of 3 Wi-Fi points. So, you need to configure 2 more Wi-Fi points. Select the additional Wi-Fi points that you want to configure and then select Next.
Step 11: Now, you are required to expand the section given below for adding more Wi-Fi points to your network. In case you find that you don't need to add additional Wi-Fi points, then you must move on to the next step.
Step 12: When you are done adding all the Wi-Fi points, then the network settings will open up before you. Now, select Next.
Step 13: If new software is available, then the Google Wi-Fi app will download it. You need to apply this software to all the Wi-Fi points in your house.
Step 14: Once the update is done, then the completion screen will open up before you.
The Wi-Fi points you require are dependent on the size of your house. According to Google, a house occupying an area of 500-1500 sq ft needs 1 Wi-Fi point, an area of 1500-3000 sq ft needs 2 Wi-Fi points, and an area of 3000-4500 sq feet needs 3 Wi-Fi points.
This is just an estimate given on the basis of distance but the number of points depends on other factors as well. The first point is connected to the modem of your internet service provider. This way, you will get a good idea of how to get extra Wi-Fi points before you go ahead and buy Google Wi-FI devices.
