How to Setup Netgear AC750 Router

Hello, Please let me know that how to setup Netgear ac750 router. I bought this new router but now facing some issue while using it. Help me.

Setup Netgear AC750 Router:

After completing the installation phase, you need to setup Netgear AC750 router as per your requirement. To configure any settings, you will have to connect to the router’s network through a wired or WiFi connection. 

Connect to the Router via Ethernet Cable

You can connect your computer to the router with the help of an Ethernet cable. Then, join to the router’s local area network (LAN). Before you connect your computer to the router using an Ethernet cable:

  1. Ensure that the router is getting power (its Power LED is ON).
  2. Do connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your computer.
  3. Now, try to connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to one of the numbered Ethernet ports.

This is how your computer connects to the local area network (LAN). Subsequently, a message is displayed on your computer screen which notifies that an Ethernet cable is connected correctly.

Connect to Wifi Network of the Router

You can setup Netgear AC750 router by choosing the manual or the WPS method for adding a WiFi device such as a WiFi-enabled computer, an iPhone, an iPad, another mobile device, or a gaming device to the WiFi network of the router. 

Manual Method to Setup Netgear AC750 Router

Firstly, you have to select the software application that manages all the WiFi connections on the WiFi device that you want to connect to the router. In order to connect a device manually to the WiFi network of the router, follow the given steps:

  1. Ensure that the router is getting sufficient power (its Power LED is ON).
  2. Now, on your WiFi device which you want to connect to your router, launch the software app that manages your WiFi connections. This app will automatically search for all the WiFi networks in your area.
  3. Find your router’s network and select it.

In case you have not changed the network name during the setup process, then find the default WiFi network name (SSID) and select it. You can check the default SSID on the router label.

     4. Next step is the enter the router WiFi password. You can also check the default WiFi password (referred to as network key or passphrase) over the router label.

     5. Lastly, click on the Connect button. This is how the device will connect to the WiFi network of the router.

WPS Method to Setup Netgear AC750 Router

Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is a fine standard to add computers and other devices to the home network while maintaining security factors.

In order to use WPS (Push 'N' Connect), you need to ensure that all your WiFi devices need to be connected to the network are Wi-Fi certified and supports WPS. 

Meanwhile, the connection process, the client gets the security settings from the router so that every device in the network supports similar security settings.

For using WPS to connect a computer or mobile device to the WiFi network of the router, follow the given steps:

  1. Initially, ensure that the router is receiving power (the Power LED is ON).
  2. Now, check for the WPS instructions corresponding to your computer or mobile device.
  3. Press the Reset/WPS button on the router for at least 5 to 10 seconds until the WiFi
  4. LED glows to amber light.
  5. In the next 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your computer or mobile device. Further, follow the WPS instructions that came along with the device.

This WPS process will automatically set up the device with the desired network password and will connect the device to the WiFi network of the router.
