I purchased Arris RT-AC68U from my friend. It was working properly for one month. But now I have to reset my router because it forgets its own password. I don't know what causes the issue, but I getting tired of having to constantly have to reset my router. I'm using Chrome that saves my password on this computer specifically. Somehow, it still does and nothing i do except doing a factory reset fixes it. I know that Arris routers have a tendency to do this, but I want to know how to fix this issue?

Well, you can resolve this issue by resetting your Arris router to default factory settings. If Arris router forgets its own password, then perform a hard reset. Although the resetting process will not take too much time but definitely your problem will get resolved.
Look at the back of Arris router and search for Reset hole.
This hole is located near to Ethernet port and checks the particular button is labeled as Reset. Using an unfolded paper clip, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds.
Power cycle Arris Router-
If you are facing any kind of software trouble with your Arris router then you can easily remove the issue by performing a power cycle. This is one of the quickest and easiest method that you should try whenever you face technical breakdowns in Arris router.
To do this, unplug the power cord of your Arris router from the power outlet for 30 seconds then plug it back in. Also, unplug the power cord, Internet, and Ethernet cables from its ports and plug it back.
Connect the power cord to the power outlet. Now power cycle process is completed and you have to verify your internet connection by logging into Arris router home page.
