Buffalo TeraStation is one of the storage series devices which is attached to the network. It has been working on LIO since January 2012 and is compatible with Linux and Windows systems.
It has achieved many awards along with the “Network Computing Award'' in 2018. It carries various features like cost-effectiveness, provides high performance, overcomes failure and removes replication.
It smoothly runs on the S3 cloud service of Amazon and creates backup along with that it has a user-friendly interface.
In case you are finding difficulty in resetting Buffalo Terastation to Factory Defaults then you can do it by following any one of the methods like using the Reset button on Terastation or by using the Web Admin interface. That depends on the user as to how he wants to reset.
In the list below, you can see the most common IPs as reported by the users of Buffalo routers.
For accessing the web interface of the router, you must know its username and password. You can go to the default settings for the router corresponding to your model. If you don't find your router model in the list, then you can use the same default username and password common for most Buffalo routers.
Consider that you have already setup default IP for Buffalo LinkStation but then you have changed your Buffalo router's default IP address. What next? May be because you can't remember it, you get the flexibility of finding it out easily for any OS you are working on.
You simply have to follow some instructions below to find out the default IP. Please note that these methods also work when the router gets it's IP address assigned by DHCP.
Step 1: Press Win + r keys together.
Step 2: This will open up a prompt screen.
Step 3: Type and enter cmd into the input field and then press the enter button.
Step 4: A command prompt will open up on screen.
Step 5: Enter the following command into the command prompt as ipconfig | findstr /i "Gateway" and then click enter.
Step 6: You can see that your default gateway will show something like 192.168.0.1.
Step 1: Open a terminal window by using the shortcut ctrl+alt+t keys together.
Step 2: Enter the following command: ip route | grep default and press the enter button.
Step 3: Last, you will see the Buffalo router's IP address on screen.
Step 1: Firstly, open the OSX Terminal following the order: Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal
Step 2: Alternatively, you can press cmd+space keys and then type terminal
Step 3: Enter the following command: netstat -nr | grep default and then press enter.
Step 4: You will see the Buffalo router default IP something like 192.168.0.1
Hope this information is helpful to setup default IP for Buffalo LinkStation.
