The ACT fiber router provides the Internet service. When you forget your username and password details, then you may be required to factory reset the ACT Router. The factory reset may help you with several other issues as well. Here is how you can perform a factory reset on your ACT router.

First, switch on your ACT router using a DC adaptor, make sure your LAN settings are in DHCP mode, open your browser, and enter the IP address of your router.

Further, enter all the required details on the login page, including your username and password. In the system tools section, go to the factory default option; here, you will come across a message: "Restore settings to the factory default." Tap on the "ok" option and reset the router. 

You may also need to reset your router if you are facing disconnection issues or your Wi-Fi is not performing properly. You can reset your ACT router by applying two different methods One is by performing a soft reset and the other one is by pressing the reset button on your router. 

How to Reset ACT Router by Performing a Soft Reset?

Step 1: First of all, turn on your ACT router and use a DC adapter in case it is not connected to a power source.

Step 2: Use a LAN cable and use it to connect your PC and laptop. 

Step 3: Please ensure that the LAN settings of your computer are in DHCP mode. 

Step 4: Launch your internet browser and then enter the IP address 192.168.0.1 in the location bar of your web browser.

Step 5: Now, you will enter the login page. Enter admin in the username section and act@123 in the password section. After that, click on the login button. 

Step 6: Go to System Tools and then go to the factory default option. Now, you will see a message that says restore settings to factory default

Step 7: After that click on OK to reset your router. 

How to Hard Reset an ACT Router?

Hard reset is the best way to access your router settings I'd you forget the login username and password.

Below are the easy steps that you need to perform to complete a hard reset. 

Step 1: Search for the reset button on your router. This button is usually near the power button or Ethernet ports. 

Step 2: Take a Pin or needle to press the reset button on your router.

Step 3: Press the reset button and hold it for at least 10 seconds and then release it.

Step 4: Now, your router will restart automatically and will take 3-4 minutes to complete the reset process. 

Step 5: After that, try to log in to your ACT router again.
